(1781 Mainz - München 1858) nach. Bildnis der Kronprinzessin Maria von Bayern. Gouache auf Elfenbein (?), um 1850. Ca. 8,2 x 6,5 cm., im Oval. Rechts sign.oder bezeichn. "v. J. Stieler". Im Messing-/Horn-Rähmchen unter Glas gerahmt.
Zeigt die Prinzessin im Brustbild von vorn, den Blick leicht nach links gerichtet, mit Perlenkette im Spitzenkleid und einen Pelzumhang auf der rechten Schulter. - Vgl. Schidlof II,786: "Most of the min. that are attributed to him are copies after his portr. in oil and are not by him".
