"Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the Reign of Queen Victoria". Zweifach getönte Lith. nach J. Storey von V. Brooks u. Day & Son, London, um 1870, ca. 59 x 89 cm. Darunter Titel u. zweizeiliger Vers., unter Passep. mont.
Große Vogelschau-Gesamtansicht mit reicher fig., Kutschen-, Schiffs- u. Dampfbootsstaffage, ferner links die Eisenbahnbrücke u. rechts das Industriegebiet. - Gering gebräunt u. stellenweise leicht fleckig. Restaurierter Riss (ca. 8 cm) oben im Bildhimmel. - Large panorama with text below: "I know not where to seek, even in this busy country, a spot or district in which we perceive so extraordinary and multifarious a combination of the various great branches of mining, manufacturing, and shipbuilding industry... upon the whole surface of the globe... 1862". - Tinted lith. Minor browning, light spotting in places. A lagrge abrasions at center (heaven, 8 cm).
