Argoli (1570-1657) war Prof. der Mathematik in Rom, später in Padua und dort wahrscheinlich Lehrer von Wallenstein und seinem Astrologen Giambattista Zenno. - Zu Beginn etwas fleckig u. mit schwachem Wasserrand, teilw. mit Wurmspuren im Satzspiegel, gegen Ende etwas stärker; Tl. 2 ab S. 171 mit Fraßstellen im Außensteg, vereinzelt mit Textberührung; Titel mit kl. Ausriss im Kopfsteg u. hs. Besitzvermerken, Vorsatz u. Titel im Fußsteg mit Besitzstempeln. 2 vols in 1. With engr. titlepage. - First edition. - Minor stainig to first gatherings, some worming to 2nd half, slight biopredation to outer margin of pt. 2 from p. 171 onwards, small chip to top margin of titlepage, old stamps of a conventual library to bottom margin of title page and front inner cover. Contemp. blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards, little stained, metal catches; lacking clasps.(3)
