Eines von 775 Exemplaren. - "Life and strange surprising adventures of Robinson Crusoe has been printed verbatim from a copy of third (vol. 1, 1790), second (vol. 2, 1790) (and) first (vol. 3, 1720) edition. Apart from the correction of a few obvious misprints and a slight modification of the use of capital letters, the wording of De Foe's original text with all its irregularities has been retained. The illustrations by Stothard were first published in Stockdale's well-known edition of 1790 and are here reproduced in facsimile" (C. Whibley). - Gutes Exemplar.
