Persische Handschrift auf Papier, ca. Mitte 19. Jh. 11 x 7,5 cm. 305 num. Bl. Bl. 1 verso u. Bl. 2 recto floral verzierter Unwan in Deckfarben u. Gold, floral verziertes Schlußblatt u. mit zahlr. floralen Randverzierungen, durchgeh. Goldumrahmung u. Kapitelüberschriften in Weiß auf Goldgrund. Schrift einspaltig in schwarzer Tusche, Schriftspiegel 7,7 x 4,3 cm. Weinroter Ldr. d. Zt. mit Einschlag. (Gebrauchssp).
Vollständiger Korantext, Besonderheit ist, daß den Abschluß die Sure al-Fâtiha bildet, d.h. die erste Sure wird am Ende wiederholt. - Schön und fein geschriebener, breitrandiger Koran im Taschenformat. - Stellenweise Schrift etw. verwischt, etw. gebräunt u. tls. fleckig. - Seltene Farbigkeit. - Qur'an. Persian manuscript on paper, about middle of the 19th cent. 11 x 7,5 cm. 305 numb. le. Leaf 1 verso and leaf 2 recto unwan with floral decoration in opaque colours and gold, last leaf also floral decorated. Throughout with framing in gold and headings in white on golden background. Text in 1 column in black ink. Written script 7,7 x 4,3 cm. Red contemporary leather. (Signs of usage). - Full text of the qur'an. Special feature is that the conclusion forms the surah al-Fatiha, so the first surah is repeated at the end. Beautifully and finely written, with large margins, in pocket-format. - In places lettering slightly burred, with slight browning and partly spotted. - Rare intensity of colours.
