Hommage Novel. Hommage Max Ernst. New York, 1989. Gr.4°. 7 Bl. aus handbearbeiteter Wellpappe, der Buchschnitt ist als menschliches Profil gestaltet. Wellpappe-Einband mit Ausschnitt, eingelassener Glaskugel und rotem Schmuckstein, eingehüllt in ein in tachistischer Manier bemaltes Tuch, in handbemalter Wellkartonkassette.
Ganz aus Wellkarton geschaffenes Unikat, die Wochentage darstellend, gedacht als Hommage an Max Ernsts "Semaine de Bonté". Aus jeder Seite sind mehrere Teile ausgestanzt und teils mit Fremdmaterialien ergänzt, jede Doppelseite ist in einem anderen Farbton gehalten. Als Auge ist eine Glaskugel in der Art der Wahrsagekugeln eingelassen. Die Bemalung mit geometrischen Motiven ist typisch für Broaddus. Eines der poetischsten Buchobjekte des amerikanischen Buchkünstlers. - Einwandfreier Zustand. One of the most poetic objects of the famous american bookartist. The full corrugated board made object is thought as a hommage for Max Ernsts "Semaine de Bonté". Each page is carried out in a high artistic individuel manner and in different colours. The edge of the object is like a man's profile, a crystalballlike glasseye gives a mysterious touch to this object. Typical for Broaddus is the painting in a geometrical manner. - Good condition.
