In einer Serie von acht Dialogen wird die damals aktuelle Diskussion darum, ob die Tiere eine Seele hätten oder nicht, resumiert. Die Diskussion war von Descartes in Gang gebracht und von Thomas Willis 1672 und Giovanni Girolamo Sbaraglia 1776 weiterentwickelt worden. - Unbeschnittenes Exemplar. - Buchblock fast komplett vom Einband gelöst, leicht fleckig, Titel gebräunt u. mit Ausriss (hs. Besitzeintrag) am ob. Rd. (ohne Textverlust).
