Orig.-Farbholzschn. sind u.a von: Yves Brayer; Brianchon; Bernard Buffet "La Mort et le Mourant"; Caillard; Jean Carzou; Chapelain-Midy; Desnoyer; Leonor Fini; Fontanarosa; Foujita; Goerg; Lila de Nobili; Roland Oudot; Picart-Le-Doux; Planson; Konstantin Terechkovitch u.a. - With 20 fables by Jean de la Fontaine illustrated with 20 in-texte half-page color woodcuts + 20 full-page color woodcuts by 20 modern artists, each signed in pencil or ink by respective artists, as issued + one Cocteau woodcut with the printed signature. This portfolio also contains four additional suites of unsigned hors-texte color woodcuts. - Suite 1 (on velin de Johannot): 20 hors-texte woodcuts printed recto only + 10 hors-texte plates with 20 woodcuts printed back to back + one Cocteau woodcut. Suite 2 (on special Holland paper): 41 color woodcuts, each hors-texte, printed recto only. Suite 3: about 35 color decomposition woodcuts by Edouard Goerg. Suite 4: one woodcut by Bernard Buffet, handcolored by the artist and printed on laid silk.
