Erste Ausgabe (Bd. 1 dat. 1789, ist eine 2. nicht als solche bezeichnete Ausg.). - Von dem Kemptener Apotheker Zorn hrsg. verkleinerte Nachstiche der 1763 in Folio lateinisch ersch. "Selectarum stirpium Americanarum historiae" von Jacquin. - A fine copy of this great classic on the botany of the West Indies and Central America. - The first volume is dated 1789 and is a reissue of the 1785 edition. - In order to make this important publication available to a larger public Zorn published the present 8vo edition with handcoloured plates on a reduced format. - Vors. und Titel des 1. Bandes mit kl. Wurmspur im Innensteg, sonst sauberes, nur vereinzelt leicht stockfl. Ex. - Ex. aus dem Besitz von Anselmus Beck "Apotheker in Ottobeuren, 1803" mit hs. Besitzvermerk a. Vors. - Contemp. cardboard with hw. lable on spine (spine partly rubbed, somewhat spotty and bumped). - Front endpaper and title of vol. 1 with small worm traces at inner bar, altogether clean copy with only slight occas. foxing.
