His observations first appeared in 1615 and his text was soon regarded as a special authority on the Levant" (Blackmer Sale). - Ohne die Faltkarte des östlichen Mittelmeerraums und die Tafel mit Ansicht des Serails. Kaum gebräunt oder fleckig. Anfangs u. gegen Ende zahlreiche kl. Reparaturen, dadurch stellenw. geringer Textverlust, Tit. mit altem Besitzverm. am ob. w. Rand. Einband stark restauriert, besonders am Rücken, ohne die 4 Bindebänder, wohl durch Entfernung eines Beibandes sehr eng gebunden, Vors. erneuert.
