Lipperheide Ci 14. - Sechste Ausgabe der bekannten Chronik, Titel in Schwarzdruck. - Reich illustriert mit den zu Beginn mythologischen, später historischen Kupfern von Merian, tls. mit authentischen Stadtansichten im Hintergrund. Die Tafel zeigt einen Plan von Ostende. Die Weltkarte ist ein genauer Nachstich der Karte von Robert Vaughan aus dem Jahre 1628 (Shirley 326). - Wie bei Wüthrich ohne den Plan von Jülich und die Seeschlacht von Gibraltar, die offensichtlich zu dieser Ausgabe nicht mehr erschienen sind. - Gelenke verstärkt, Tafel XXXI mit Eckabriss (Zierrahmen), die Weltkarte im Bug tls. verstärkt, Textkupfer S. 52 kopfstehend, wenige Bl. mit hinterlegtem Einriss oder kleinem Eckabriss, unterschiedlich gebräunt. - Sixth edition of the famous chronicle, title in black print. - Richly illustrated with the initially mythological, later historical copperplates by Merian, partly with authentic town views in the background. The plate shows a plan of Ostende. The world map is an accurate reproduced engraving of the map by Robert Vaughan from the year 1628 (Shirley 326). - Like by Wüthrich without the plan of Jülich and the sea battle of Gibraltar which obviously were not published with this edition. - Joints reinforced, plate XXXI with torn off corner (ornate frame), the world map partly reinforced at joint, text engraving p. 52 upside down, a few leaves with backed tear or torn off corner, variable browning. - Contemporary vellum (joint somewhat torn, scratched, scuffed, soiled). - Exlibris.
