N.a.T. - One of the first editions (several seem to have been published simultaneously in 1784) of this biting castigation of the "libelliste" Charles Theveneau de Morande, and the ease with which such characters could take refuge in London, immune to prosecution. The present work, ironically dedicated to the Marquis of Castries (Secretary of State of the Navy), is directed at de Morande, author of the particularly licentious publication "Le Gazetier Cuirassee", which appeared in 1771.
