Erste Ausgabe. - Borroni 6634. Hellwald 288: "Cet ouvrage, écrit avec beaucoup de jugement et d'exactitude, n'arrive que jusq'à l'époque où Malte tomba au pouvoir des Sarazins." Mit schöner Karte von Malta und Gozo (Blattgr.: ca. 26 x 61 cm), nicht in Maps of Malta verzeichnet. - Leicht stockfl., die Titelvign. mit kleinem Sammlerstempel, die numismatische Tafel am Ende mit großem Randausriß (ergänzt, Darstellung nicht berührend). - First edition. - Slightly foxed, title vignette with small collector stamp, numismatic plate at the end with large tear-out in margin (replaced, not affecting illustration). - Somewhat later half calf with spine label (some scuffing, spine discoloured and with minor worming).
