Horn/Schenkling 21421 (ebenfalls 1838) und Agassiz IV, 379 (1837). - Seltene erste Ausgabe, sämtliche Tafeln im vorliegenden Exemplar tragen den Verlegervermerk 'London, J. Wilson' und das Datum 1831 bzw. 1830. Mit sehr schönen und sorgfältig kolorierten naturkundlichen Tafeln, darunter einige zur Mineralogie; unter den zoologischen Tafeln überwiegend Schlangen, Spinnen und Fische. - Die Pag. springt von S. 158 auf 179. Tls. leicht fleckig.
