Tchemerzine VI, 246. - Erster Druck der Erstausgabe von Holbachs soziologischem Hauptwerk, zugleich eine wichtige Schrift der Sozialphilosophie vor der französischen Revolution. Holbach folgte auch mit dieser Schrift dem Rat Voltaires und ließ sie anonym und mit fingiertem Druckort erscheinen. - 1775 kam das Werk auf den Index. - Ein Blatt im Rand sauber repariert.
