Diese sind nicht nur für ihre sorgfältigen Editionen, sondern auch für die Schönheit des Drucks und die besondere Typographie berühmt: "The vast majority of italic types are sloping, and sloping capitals were later cut to accompany them, yet it is possible to have upright italic. The first printer to employ these types was Alessandro Paganini at Toscolano and Venice in the 1520's" (Kat. Printing and the Mind of Man II, 62).
