GV 101,271. Nicht bei Holzmann-B., Crabtree u.a. - Erste Ausgabe. - Im ob. Rd. durchgeh. stärk. wasserfl., im unt. Gelenk tls. braunfl. - First edition of an exceedingly rare publication based on Seguin's publications (perhaps the "Nouvel Almanach du Magnetiseur"). The German author has remained anonymous although he states in his preface that "der Magnetismus seit Mesmer's erstem Auftreten, ungeachtet aller zu seiner gänzlichen Vernichtung angewendeten Anstrengungen sich Bahn gebrochen und sich bis zu uns den Weg erkämpft. In this very interesting publication the author deals with the nature, effects and application of vital magnetism, somnambulism etc. - Contemporary, most likely the original, green boards, gilt lettering on spine (rubbed, bumped, head bands a little chipped). Some stains in the upper margins of the volume. Not listed in Holzmann-Bohatta, Crabtree and elsewhere.
