Werk "mit tiefem theoretischen Studium des Problems der Kubirung solcher Körper, deren Oberfläche nach einem bestimmten geometrischen Gesetze gebildet ist" (ADB XV. 614). Dieses Werk legt auch die Grundlage für die künftige Infinitesimalrechnung. - Kleines, nur in wenigen Exemplaren beigegebenes Errata-Blatt fehlt hier. Außer Titel und Schlußblatt ganz fleckenfrei. Sehr gutes, breitrandiges Exemplar, welches nach A4 zwei zeitgenössische Blättchen (davon ein handschriftliches und eines mit einer Tabelle gedrucktes) beigebunden hat. - Sehr selten. - First and extremely rare edition - according to "Jahrbuch der Auktionspreise" until 1995 this edition appeared on the market only twice. Profound study of the properties of regular solids, providing a basis for the future concept of the infinitesimal quantity. Small woodcut device on title-page, text with thirty schmatical geometrical illustrations. This copy does not include the printed errata leaf inbound in other copies. New leather binding, red edges, staining only on the first and last leaves. Very well-preserved copy with wide margins, two contemporery small leaves with a manuscript and printed text inbound after A4.
