139-3657 Stillleben, 18. Jhdt.
Stillleben mit Blumen in einer Glasvase. Öl auf Buchenholz. Monogr. "J C V". 26 x 18 cm. - In vg. Rahmen (leichte Altersspuren). Auf einer Steinplatte steht eine stark gebauchte Glasvase. Diese hält ein Blumenbouquet mit Rosen, Nelken und Tulpen sowie weiteren, recht exotisch aussehenden Blüten. Kleine Wassertropfen auf den Blüten und der Tischfläche bilden zusätzliche interessante Akzente.
Das Monogramm wurde auf dem Etikett verso als "J.C.Voelcker" aufgelöst, ein Maler dessen Name sich wohl durch Vorbesitzer tradiert hat, da er ansonsten biografisch nicht zu ermitteln ist. Die Formensprache, die Wahl der Blumen und das Arrangement sprechen für einen wohl deutschen Künstler, der mit niederländischen Blumenstilleben vertraut war. - Mit kleinen Retuschen und Restaurierungen vor allem am Rand, hier tls. auch Rahmenabdruck, schmaler Schwundriss oben und unter dickem Firnis. - Verso 2 tls. entfernte Parkettierleisten sowie altes Auktionsetikett. - Dutch or German still life painter from the first half of the 18th century. - Still life with flowers in a glass vase. Oil on beech wood. Monogrammed "J C V". - Gilt frame (traces of age). - The monogram was resolved on the label on the verso as "J. C. Voelcker", a painter whose name was probably passed on by previous owners, as he cannot otherwise be determined biographically. The formal language, the choice of flowers and the arrangement speak for a probably German artist who was familiar with Dutch floral still lifes. - With small retouchings and restorations, especially at the margins, here partly with frame imprint, narrow shrinkage tear at the top and under thick varnish. - Verso 2 partly removed parquetry boards and old auction label.
