He received the Nobel Prize in 1926" (DSB). - "The publication of this book loomed as a MILESTONE in Perrin's own career, as well as in the history of the physical sciences. It marked the alliance of a plethora of superficially unrelated phenomena, as well as the incorporation of the common denominator among them into the normal working assumptions of physics and chemistry. First published in 1913, the book was in its fourth edition in 1914 already and was translated into English, German, Polish, Russian, Serbian and Japanese.
