Dritte von Scaliger bearbeitete Ausgabe. - Scaligers "penetrating scholarship and powerful gift of analysis were magisterially demonstrated in his edition of one of the most difficult of Latin texts, the Astronomia of Manilius, and this was a forerunner to his greatest work, the 'de emendationis temporum'" (PMM, 98). - Enthält eine der frühesten europäischen Untersuchungen zu arabischen Sternen- und Tierkreiszeichenbezeichnungen ("de quarandum stellarum arabicis appellationibus") mit arabischem Typensatz. - Aufgrund des Verlustes noch früherer Texte das früheste Lehrbuch zur hellenistischen Astrologie, das bis in die Gegenwart weitgehend erhalten blieb. - Stellenweise schwach gebräunt u. fleckig.
