Prasse W 139 (Feininger Nr. 1916). Der masch. Brief von Julia Feininger mit eh. Unterschrift mit blauem Farbstift, mit der Sommeradresse "Three Knolls" Falls Village Connecticut, 27. Sept. 1938, an "Doctor and Mrs. Dorner" in engl. Sprache: "All these weeks we wanted to write to you and now this hurricane must precipitate at last this letter to you, because we must know, how you stood it... We here in Falls Village, Conn. got the storm pretty hard over our heads, we are in a small wood cottage on a hill, Wedsnday (!) afternoon I sometimes thought we would be blown down the hill...With heartiest greetings from Feininger and myself to you both cordially". - Auf dünnem, transparentem Briefpapier, mit 2 größ. vertikalen Einrissen mittig oben, außerhalb des Holzschnitts u. schwache Knitterspuren. Lose unter Passep. im einf. Wechselrahmen. - On thin, transparent stationery, with 2 larger vertical tears in the upper centre, outside of the woodcut and weak creases. Loose under passep.
