Mattioli illustr. "Dieses deutsche Kräuterbuch... verzeichnet vor allem die europäische Flora. Allerdings fanden bereits Heilpflanzen aus Amerika und Afrika Aufnahme, soweit sie in Europa verwendet wurden" (Isphording). - Tls. leicht fleckig, Kupfertitel mit Quetschfalte, vord. Vors. erneuert, hint. Vors. mit hs. Eintr., St.a.T. - With broad figural title border and ca. 2,500 woodcuts in text. - Slightly spotted in places, copper title with crease, front endpaper renewed, back endpaper with inscription in manuscript. endpapers with inscription.
