Rest., etwas spät., gefärbter, flexibler Pgt.-Band mit intakten Schliessbändern (unter Verwendung der alten Decken, Kapitale und Vorsätze erneuert; Deckel verzogen, etwas bestossen).

Tomash & Williams R93: "This is Riese's fourth, and last, arithmetic text. It is an expanded version of his earlier arithmetic books in both the number of examples and content". - Erste Ausgabe. " A comprehensive work, which far surpassed his books written at Erfurt, especially in the number of examples. Most of the work had been completed by 1525; but it was not published until 1550, after Elector Maurice of Saxony had advanced the printing costs. Because the expense was so great, the book was reprinted only once, in 1616." (DSB XI, 457). - Gebräunt und stockfleckig, Titelei stärker angestaubt, stellenweise Tinten- und Feuchtflecken, erste und letzte Blatt in den Ecken etwas angefranst, in den Rändern min. angerissen (ausserhalb des Textes). Insgesamt in guter Erhaltung. - Zahlreiche Unterstreichungen und Annotationen von alter Hand. - With engraved title vignette with portrait of the author. Restored, somewhat later vellum (crowns and endpapers renewed, somewhat bumped). Browned and with foxing, partly stained, partly with chipping, numerous underlinings and marginalia.
