VD 16, R 2964. - Sehr seltene erste Ausgabe des berühmten Versepos, das antike Vorlagen und mittelalterliches Anekdotengut (Aesop, Homer, Reineke-Fuchs-Stoff) mit zeit- u. kulturgeschichtlichen Bezügen vereinigt, um daraus ein Lehrgedicht für die Jugend zu machen. Viele Zeitgenossen treten mehr oder weniger verschlüsselt auf, so Luther als Frosch Elbmarx. - Titelbl. in Rot u. Schwarz. Durchgeh. gebräunt, unterschiedlich stark stockfl. - Very rare first edition of the famous verse epic, which combines antique models and medieval anecdotes with contemporary and cultural-historical references in order to make a teaching poem for the youth.
