Plesch 445. - Die ersten drei Bände dieser bekannten, reich illustrierten, botanischen Zeitschrift hrsg. von Louis van Houtte (1810-1876) und Charles Lemaire (1800-1871). Sie gilt mit ihren prächtig ausgearbeiteten kolor., farbig lithographierten Tafeln als eine der schönsten Gartenbauzeitschriften ihrer Zeit und zeigt einerseits neu entdeckte exotische Pflanzen aus aller Welt und andererseits ebenso populäre europäische Kulturpflanzen. - In Bd. 3 fehlt eine Tafel. Kollat.: 55; 108; 106 (von 107) Taf. - Insgesamt sauberes Ex. - Exlibris. - The first three volumes of this well-known, richly illustrated botanical magazine. With 269 (instead of 270) mostly coloured lithographed plates as well as a few wood engravings in the text. Contemporary half leather, joints damaged, rubbed and bumped. Missing 1 plate in vol. 3. Overall clean copy.
