Mit dem angehängten, unveränderten Teil 'Apologia adversus Amathum Lusitanum'. - Tls. leicht gebräunt o. etw. stockfl. Inges. sehr schönes Ex. in guter Erhaltung. - Die schönen Holzschnitte mit Pflanzendarstellungen und einigen Tierdarstellungen liegen in kräftigen Abdrucken vor. - "One of the chief of the commentators and herbalists was P.Matthioli ... his chef-d'oeuvre contains besides an exposition of Discorides, a natural history dealing with all the plants known to M."
