Peter Annet (1693-1769) was an English deist, known for his hostility towards orthodox theologians. He was critical of scripture and the clergy, and of the reputation of King David and the Apostle Paul. He also denied the possibility of miracles, and suggested that Paul should be regarded as the founder of Christianity.
