Abbey, Travel 270. Blackmer 794. Atabey 566, Ibrahim-Hilmy I, 292. - Prachtvolle Ansichten von J. C. Bourne nach Robert Hay, O. B. Carter u. C. Lever. - Ohne Drucktitel und die 23 Bl. Text. Ränder etwas fleckig bzw. fingerfl., vereinzelt kl. Randeinrisse, 2 Taf. gebräunt, 1 Taf. mit Schabspur (ca. 6:0,5 cm) bis ins Bild, 1 weitere Taf. mit Knickspur u. im unteren ca. 4 cm angerändert. - *With lith. title, lith. dedication and 20 tinted lith. plates, one with two images, lacking printed title and text. "Hay, one of the pioneers of Egyptology, first visited Egypt in 1824, returning many times to that country over the next 15 years. He had established a camp on the Nile which was the center for the systematic exploration of the Nile Valley" (Blackmer). - Some marginal spotting and thumbing, few small tears, 2 plates browned. Abrasion (c. 6:0,5 cm) to one plates, folding and false margin added to another plate. Loose in a recent cloth box.
