This is an excellent translation (supervised by Clyde and Ingrid Roper) of volume 18 of the Wissenschaftliche Ergebnisse der deutschen Tiefsee Expedition auf dem Dampfer Valdivia, originally published in 1910 and one of the first systematical monographs on Cephalopoda with all the fine plates and including the description of new, sometimes bizarre, species. - Beiliegt: MacFarland,F.M.
