Drucke während der erweiterten Preßfreiheit (1781-1795), 2513. - A most attractive German Freemasons' prayerbook, dedicated to "Der hochwürdigsten Provinzialloge von Böhmen und allen Freymäurern dieses Sprengels". Published anonymously, it is ascribed to Ignaz Cornova (1740-1822), a Jesuit who, after the dissolution of the Jesuit order, became a professor of history at the Prague university and joined the Freemasons (cf. Lennhoff-Posner, Internat. Freimaurerlexikon, 1932, col. 304). - This book is highly interesting on several counts. Besides its established place in the history of freemasonry in Bohemia (cf. the facsimile edition published in 1929 at Prague, it is an evident witness for the attempts at religious toleration and economic reforms undertaken by emperor Joseph II (1741-1790) alter the death of bis mother, Maria Theresia. Remarkable too is this book for its typography, being printed with a type cut after the old German current handwriting. - Vollständiges Exemplar des durchgehend in einer schönen, deutschen Schreibschrift gedruckten Buches mit Gebeten für alle Maurergrade, für verschiedene Gelegenheiten und Tageszeiten.
