Druckvermerk auf dem gestochenen Titel. - Beschreibungen antiker mythologischer Gemälde, meist dem Flavius Philostratos zugeschrieben, mit den einflußreichen Illustrationen von Thomas de Leu (1560-1612). - Es fehlt möglicherweise der typographische Titel. - Vorsätze leimschattig, Spiegel mit Buchhändlermärkchen, der gestoch. Titel alt aufgezogen und bis zum Bildrand beschnitten, stellenw. fleckig. - One of several editions from the same year. Imprint on engraved title. - Descriptions of ancient mythological paintings, mostly ascribed to Flavius Philostratos, with the influential illustrations by Thomas de Leu (1560-1612). - Lacks probably the typographic title. - Endpapers with glue traces, paste-down with bookseller's label, engraved title mounted in former times and cropped up to plateline, soiling here and there. - Contemporary damaged calf.
