Karten 2 Weltkarten, 6 von Amerika, die Molukken, Sri Lanka und zahlr. Mittelmeerinseln, ferner Venedig und Istanbul. - Erste 19 Bl. mit fachmännisch ergänztem Abriß einer kleinen Ecke im weißen Seitensteg außerhalb des Textes, leicht gebräunt, etw. fleckig. Zu einigen Inseln ist der alte lateinische Name im Text in Tinte von alter Hand eingetragen. Koloriert sind Island und Kreta. - Fifth edition of the work first published in 1572 (then only with 30 maps). Among the delicately engraved maps are 2 world maps, 6 maps of America, the Moluccas, Sri Lanka and numerous islands of the Mediterranean, moreover Venice and Istanbul. - First 19 leaves with skilfully replaced torn off corner at blank margin outside text, slightly browned, a little soiled. For some islands the old Latin name is mentioned in the text by contemporary hand in ink. Iceland and Crete are coloured. - Modern calf in the style of the epoch in cardboard slipcase.
