89-628 Muhammad al-Gazuli - "DALA'IL AL-HAIRAT"
("Die Beweise der Wohltaten"). Arabische Handschrift auf geglättetem Papier. Osmanisches Reich, 7. Rebi II. 1258 (d. i. 18. 5. 1842). 13,8 x 9,3 cm, Schriftspiegel: 10 x 6 cm. Mit 2 ganzseit. Deckfarbenminiaturen. Nahezu alle Seiten von roten, die ersten auch mit doppelten, farbig ausgemalten Rahmenlinien eingefaßt; mit 2 Kopfstücken in Deckfarben. Hervorhebungen und Verstrenner in Rot. 110 nn. Bl. 11 Zl. Blindgepr. Ldr. d. Zt. mit Deckellasche (einzelne Wurmlöcher, beschabt und bestoßen). (103)
Das populärste der sunnitischen Gebetbücher, hier in einer schlichten, provinziellen Gebrauchshandschrift und im üblichen Taschenformat vorliegend. Die zwei buntfarbigen Miniaturen zeigen in schematischer Darstellung die Ansichten von Mekka und Medina vor einem ebenfalls in Deckfarben aufgetragenen Goldgrund. Der übrige Buchschmuck ist sehr einfach, ebenso die im Nashki-Duktus gehaltene Kalligraphie eines Molla Ismail bin Mustafa Rurik, der im Kolophon nicht nur Datum und Uhrzeit der Vollendung des Manuskripts nennt, sondern auch seine genaue Adresse, wobei der Ort für uns nicht lesbar ist. Dem Haupttext vorausgesetzt ist ein türkischer Vorspruch mit Gebet. - Am Anfang und am Ende zahlr. Notizen von anderer Hand, stellenw. Kritzeleien am Rand; gebräunt und fleckig. - Arabic manuscript on smoothed paper. Ottoman Empire, 7. Rebi II. 1258 (that's 18.5.1842). 13,8 x 9,3 cm, written script: 10 x 6 cm. With 2 full-page miniatures in opaque coloures. Mostly all pages wirth framing in red. Accentuations and seperators for verses in red. 110 unnumb. le. 11 lines. Contemporary blind tooled leather with flap. (Sporadic wormholes, scuffed and bumped). - The most popular of Sunnite prayer books, here in a simple provincial manuscript for use in the usual pocket size. The two multi-coloured illuminations illustrate in a diagram the views of Mecca and Medina on a gold background. The rest of the book is simple decoration, as well as the a calligraphy (in Nashki-characteristics) of Molla Mustafa Ismail bin Rurik. In the colophon he called not date and time of completion of the manuscript, but his exact address, the place is not readable for us. A Turkish preamble with prayer is put in front of the main text. - At the beginning and the end numerous notes by another hand, here and there scribbling in margin; browned and spotted.
