Reproduction made from the original scrolls, kept in the Shrine of the Book, Jerusalem Sekine, Prof. Dr. Masao (Supervision and Foreword by); Prof. Dr. Millar Burrows (Preface by); Dr. Magen Broshi (Introduction by); Dr. Elisha Qimron (Transcriptions by); Dr. Geza Vermes (Translations by) New York, Johnson Reprint Corporation 1979. Mit einem Tongefäß, 3 Faksimile-Schriftrollen, die in das Gefäß gelegt wurden (genau so, wie die Original-Schriftrollen vom Toten Meer gefunden wurden), und ein in weiches Leder gebundenes Buch (mit Abb.), das die erstaunliche Geschichte der Schriftrollen vom Toten Meer und ihrer Entdeckung enthält. In original leinenbezogene Schachtel mit hebräischem und englischem Titel auf einer am Deckel befestigten Metallplatte, mit burgunderrote Seide im Inneren der Schatulle. (Diese tls. stärker beschabt). Innen gut.
Eines von 400 Ex. - Die Schriftrollen vom Toten Meer, die 1947 versehentlich gefunden wurden, werden von vielen als der wichtigste archäologische Fund des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts angesehen. - Sehr gut erhalten. - Original linen covered box with title in Hebrew and English on metal plate fixed on top lid. Striking burgundy silk on inside of the box. Casket containing an earthenware jar, 3 facsimile scrolls placed inside the jar (just the way the original Dead Sea Scrolls were found), and a soft leather bound book telling the amazing story of the Dead Sea Scrolls and their discovery.
