Pedley, S. 227 (Ausg. 1788+: "all are Delamarche imprints"); vgl. Phillips 4292. - Enthält Weltkarte und Kontinente (4; Amerika in 2 Bll.), Alte Welt (12; inkl. 1 weiteren Weltkarte) sowie Länder- u. Gebietskarten aus Europa (75 statt 77), Asien (7), Afrika (1) und Amerika (5), davon einzelne mit späten Dat. bis 1798 und teilw. mit Delamarches Namen; ferner zusätzlich nach Nr. 25 eingefügt eine Delamarche-Karte der République française, dat. l'an VII (= 1798/99); am Schluß die 3 Supplementskarten von Israel, Indien und den Vereinigten Staaten, alle 3 ebenfalls mit Verlagsverm. Delamarche, die letzte dat. 1785. - Teilw. fleckig, vereinzelt Tintenkleckse. Ränder duchgängig wasserfleckig, in der 1. Hälfte oben und unten, in der 2. Hälfte seitl. stärker und bis in das Kartenbild, wenige Ktn. auch insges. betroffen, einige seitl. etwas sporenfl. Etliche Randein- und -ausrisse, Bug- und Faltstellenläsuren, Plattenrandbrüche etc. repariert, vereinzelt mit etwas Bildverlust (davon auch Afrikakte. betroffen). Ca. 10 Ktn. mittig geknittert, wenige unten knapp beschnitten, ganz vereinzelt Schrift oder Einfassung angeschnitten. Titel etwas gebräunt und seitl. bis an/in das Bild beschnitten. Von Nr. 14 = Europakte. nur linke Hälfte vorhanden (oben nicht mitgezählt), außerdem fehlen Ktn. Nr. 36 und 61 (Elsaß und Westphalen). - Gekauft wie besichttigt. Late Delamarche edition publ. after 1798/99. Containing engr. title, 4 double-page engr. plates with text, 108 (of 111; incl. 3 suppl.) maps and 1 additional map of the French republic (106 double-page, 3 folding), all col. in outline. - Some spotting or ink stains in places. Severe waterstaining throughout, in the 2nd half also some mildew spots to side margins. Several tears to margins, centerfolds and foldings, corners etc. mostly repaired, rarely with small losses of image. Crease folds at center of around 10 maps, a few shaved at bottom. Engr. title somewhat browned and shaved at sides. Map of Europe lacking right half (not counted above), lacking also maps no. 36 & 61. Contemp. half-calf, somewhat rubbed and worn. Sold waf.
