Seltene zweite italienische Ausgabe. - Scarce second edition in Italian, a substantial reprint of the Florentine edition of 1478. The volume was issued by the Swiss Leonardus Achates (Leonhard Agtstein), who was the first printer active in Vicenza from 1474 to 1491. The text is headed by a large woodcut vignette showing the author himself writing to the dedicatee of the Ruralia commoda, King Charles II of Anjou. The same block was re-used by Achates in his Herbarius latinus of 1491. - Das 1. Bl. oben u. unten mit anges. Eckabriss (unten Verlust von 4 Zeilen; oben etw. Bildverlust). Weitere 3 Bl. am Anfang mit kl. anges. Eckabrissen. Tls. fl. Anfang mit Marginalien von alter Hand. Durchgeh. wasserrandig (vorwiegend in den Gelenken). - Lower and upper outer margin of the first leaf largely restored, affecting 4 lines of text and a small portion of vignette border, a few marginalia in Italian, some water-stained (mostly in the inner margin, heavier in the 2nd part of the vol.).
