First edition of Peake's memoirs of the English dramatist George Colman the Elder (1732-1804) and his son, George Colman the Younger (1762-1836), dramatist and stage manager. An interesting view of the English theatre of that period. - Private half-calf over 5 raised bands and red spine label. - Bookplate of the Pollack-Parnau collection. Edges of flyleafs somewhat browned, otherwise a very good copy.
