Tafsir Ruh al-bayan fi Tafsir al-qur`an. Osmanische Handschrift auf Papier. Ende d. 18. Jhdts. 339:224 mm. 512 Bll. mit 1 'Unwan in Gold. Grüner Saffian d. 19. Jhdts. mit verg. Deckel- u. Klappenkanten sowie in Gold bemaltem Schnitt.
39 Z., Nashki-Duktus (wohl zwei verschiedene Hände), schwarz mit roten Hervorhebungen, rote Einfassungslinien, die erste Seite mit hübschem Zierstück in Gold u. goldenen Einfassungslinien. - Der 1063/1651 in Maskat geborene Sufi-Gelehrte Ismâ`îl Haqqî war Scheich des Gelvetîye-Ordens in Bursa, wo er 1137/1724 starb. Sein ausführlicher Korankommentar, 1117/1705 beendet, wurde erstmals 1255/1839 in der Kairoer Bulak-Presse gedruckt. Vorliegender Teil davon, wohl noch im 18. Jahrhundert abgeschrieben, reicht bis zur 11. Sure Hûd u. umfaßt somit etwa die Hälfte des Gesamtwerks. - Breitrandig (ursprünglich noch breitrandiger, daher mehrere Bll. am Anfang mit eingefalteten Teilen zur Erhaltung der Marginalien). Die erste Lage gelockert bzw. gelöst, etwas knitterig u. angeschmutzt, sonst kaum fleckig, ab u. zu kl. Tintenwischer, wenige Wurmspuren im Rand, 2 Bll. mit Randreparatur; einige alte Sammlerstempel. Einband stark berieben u. bestoßen, Rücken u. Klappengelenk schadhaft, vord. Vorsatzbl. lose. (E) - Persian manuscript on paper. At the end of the 18th cent. 339:224 mm. 512 le. with 1 golden unwan. Green morocco leather of the 19th cent. with gilt cover edges. - 39 lines, Nashki-characteristics (perhaps by two various hands), black with red accentuations, red edging lines, first page with pretty golden ornamental pieces and golden edging lines. - Born in Muscat 1063/1651 Sufi scholar Isma ìl Haqqi was sheik of Gelvetîye-Order in Bursa, where 1137/1724 he died. His detailed commentary on the Qur'an, 1117/1705 ended, was first 1255/1839 printed in the Bulak-press of Cairo. Present part, probably copied in the 18th cent., extends to the 11th surah Hud and comprises about half of the complete work. - With large margins (originally still large margins, so several le. at the beginning with the folded parts to maintain the marginal notes). The first quire loose, slightly crumpled and soiled, apart from that rarely spotted, sometimes with small ink spots, only few worm cast at margin, 2 le. with repairs at margin; some older collector's stamp. Binding strongly rubbed and bumped, spine and joint damaged, front fly leaf loose.
