Der griechische Philosoph Aratos von Soli stützte sein wissenschaftliches Gedicht vorrangig auf die astronomischen Lehren von Eudoxus. "The resulting work, the 'Phaenomena', became one of the most popular scienific texts in the classical, post-classical and medieval world. Since Eudoxus' own work is lost, Aratus' poem is the oldest known systematic account of the classical constellations" (Whitfield S. 23) - S. 154-183 mit G.J.
