Löchern, Schließen nur fragment. erhalten, etw. zu groß, eine Anbindung ausgebunden).

Erste Ausgabe. - Giraldus oder Gyraldus (1479-1552) studierte zu Mailand und Rom, kehrte nach dem Studium in seine Heimatstadt Ferrara zurück, wo er, als guter Poet und in der Antike wohlbewandert, ein von Gicht geplagtes Leben in Armut zubrachte (vgl Jöcher II,1294f.). - Tls. leicht stockfleckig u. mit schmalem Wasserrand, einige kl. Wurmlöcher, vorwiegend im w. Rand. Mehrfach auf Vors. u. Tit. gestempelt. Überkl. hs. Besitzverm. a. dem Tit. N.a.T. - Blind stamped contemporary pigskin with handwritten label on spine (Browned, partly stained, rubbed, front binding with 3 (2 mounted) holes, clasps fragmentarily preserved). With woodcut initials partly after Holbeins childrens ABC. - Almost continually marginally waterstained.
