Einzelblatt aus Gebetbuch. Marokko, 16. Jhdt. Eingefasst in einer Ranken-Bordüre in Gold, Kufische Schrift, auch bekannt als "Mustaghribi". Mit einem Randmedaillon in Gold in der rechten unteren Blattecke. Textgr.: 74 x 63 mm, Blattgr. 100 x 82 mm. Unter Passep. mont.

Im Unterrand verstärkt und angesetzt. Etwas fleckig und gebräunt. - Single leaf of a prayer book: Bismalah. In a gold frame with tendrils of leaves and a red frame, is inscribed the "Bismalah" in gold in Kufic writing, known as "Mustaghribi". A margin medallion in gold at the right edge is connected with the Bismalah. The letters are set out on a strictly horizontal base line, which forms a foundation for the words. Strokes of letters interlace or link to a stylized flower to fill an empty space. Above are six lines in the finest Maghribi. Measures: Text area: 74 x 63 mm, sheet size: 100 x 82 mm. Morocco, 16th century. Condition: Outside of the picture are tears which were neatly restored, probably in the 18th century. - Cf: M.
