The most scientific discovery marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new epoch. Although Roentgen`s initial report (Vorläufige Mitteilung) came in during the active holiday season, it was immediately set into print. The publisher of the periodical, the "Stahel`sche K.Hof- und Universitäts Buch- und Kunsthandlung" had a number of separata printed at once and issued in a yellow wrapper, with the date "Ende 1895" (which must have been December 28th to 31st), and it was quickly done, without separate title-page: just the next (with new pagination) of the paper on ten pages. These separata were distributed by Roentgen to his friends and colleagues in Vienna, Berlin, Hamburg and Manchester. - Leicht verknittert u. etw. stockfleckig.
