Brockett 1263. Slg. von Brug 62. - Sehr wahrscheinlich das erste schweizerische Werk über Ballons und Luftreisen. Zumeist wird dieses Buch unter Faujas de Saint-Fond aufgeführt, obwohl es nur bis S. 54 seinen Text enthält. Danach folgen vollkommen neue Berichte über Luftreisen, die auch in anderen Schriften dieser Zeit nicht enthalten sind. - Etw. gebräunt, tls. gering fleckig, Titel mit schwachem Wasserrand. - With 5 copper engravings on 4 tables. 1 l., XXXV, 297 pp. Contemp. halfleather with 2 labels on gilt spine (rubbed). - Brockett 1263. Slg. von Brug 62. - Probably the first Swiss work about balloons and air travelling. This book mostly is attributed to Faujas de Saint-Fond, but indeed it´s only his text until p. 54. After there are absolutely new reports of air travels, which aren`t found in other contemporary works. - Some browning, partly slightly splotchy, title with small water stain.
