Vollstndiger Korantext, Besonderheit ist, da den Abschlu die Sure al-Ftiha bildet, d.h. die erste Sure wird am Ende wiederholt. - Schn und fein geschriebener, breitrandiger Koran im Taschenformat. - Stellenweise Schrift etw. verwischt, etw. gebrunt u. tls. fleckig, Unwan mit ger. Randls., tls. unterlegt. Alters- u. Gebrauchssp. - Seltene Farbigkeit. - Qur'an. Persian manuscript on paper, about middle of the 19th cent. 11 x 7,5 cm. 305 numb. le. Leaf 1 verso and leaf 2 recto unwan with floral decoration in opaque colours and gold, last leaf also floral decorated. Throughout with framing in gold and headings in white on golden background. Text in 1 column in black ink. Written script 7,7 x 4,3 cm. Red contemporary leather. (Signs of usage). - Full text of the qur'an. Special feature is that the conclusion forms the surah al-Fatiha, so the first surah is repeated at the end. Beautifully and finely written, with large margins, in pocket-format. - In places lettering slightly burred, with slight browning and partly spotted. - Rare intensity of colours.
