Rare Bible edition containing a preface (Haec Docent Sacra Bibliorum Scripta) which was banned a few years after this edition's publication. This preface was removed or destroyed in some copies. - Ehemaliges Bibliotheksexemplar mit Stempel und Rückensignatur. Deckel berieben mit einigen Fehlstellen und Wurmlöchern. Bindung gelockert. Gebräunt, teils fleckig (meist am Anfang), letztes Blatt beschnitten und aufgezogen. Zahlreiche Marginalien und Anstreichungen. - Boards rubbed with some gaps and wormholes. Interior of with boards slightly wormy. Bindung weakened. Mostly age-typical paper darkening with numerous water stains throughout, particularly at the beginning. Text of final leaf intact, but cut out and pasted to other paper. Text block mostly well-preserved, albeit with numerous marks and marginalia. Initial leaves with a few wormholes which slightly damage the text. Fly leaves intact.
